The tribute band was founded by three famous musicians, Zoltán Váry, Zoltán Maróthy and Csaba Tobola, in 1995. Originally the line-up was meant to be lasting only for a special gig in E-Klub, Budapest, but the success they had convinced them that they were more than a fun band for a night, so they decided to stick together.
In the early days of Kiss Forever Band, the make up covered yet only one side of the musicians’ faces to signify that they had their own personalities in the show too (and also to stay recognizable). This period ended when on the gig to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their masters, they looked exactly the same as Kiss; they also started using various pyrotechnics effects on the gigs. In this outlook they started giving shows abroad, for Kiss Expo Tour 1998 in Vienna, and shortly afterwards they toured Europe with former Kiss drummer Eric Singer (who also joined the band for some performances). Since then the band regularly plays in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
The first album of Kiss Forever Band, Carnival Of Songs was out in 2001 at Nephilim Records. Two years after they signed with Tom-Tom and recorded their second LP, Plug It Out, a cover album on which the songs have a completely unplugged arrangement.
