The Kozma Orsi quartet's new album 'Soulprints' is released.
Kozma Orsi, an established Hungarian jazz singer, who first came to prominence with the platinum-selling band Jazz+Az, is releasing her third album ‘Soulprints’ with her quartet.
The album is made up of exciting, energetic original songs from the quartet and one cover track. It’s the first occasion the quartet worked with a producer, and the result is a complex, mature sound with vocal harmonies and a string quartet. The quartet chose Zoltán Galambos as a producer, who also mixed and mastered the album.
As for the title, Orsi chose ‘Soulprints’ as the songs are all inspired by the quartet’s current lives, both personally and artistically. We are glad indeed to hear a bright and romantic tone throughout the album.
The Kozma Orsi quartet formed in 2007. The members are Kozma Orsi on vocal, Cseke Gábor on piano, Hárs Viktor on bass and vocal, Pusztai Csaba on drums and percussions. The album ‘Soulprints’ follows their previous releases ‘Hide and Seek’ (2008), and Embrace (2010).
